Select the Horizontal Type tool .
If you want to enter vertical type, select the Vertical Type tool instead.

In the options bar, make sure that the Create a Text Layer button is selected. |

Select a font family, a font size, and a type style in the options bar. |

Click in the image window and enter the type you want to use for the effect. |

Click the OK button in the options bar to commit the text. |

Choose File > Open, and open the source image you want. |

Select the Move tool . |

Click on the source image and drag it to the original image, centered over the text. |

Click on the source image to make it the active window, and choose File > Close. |

Choose Layer > Group with Previous. |

Select the Move Tool . |

Adjust the position of the image inside the text as desired. |
